During this very difficult and demanding time it would be great to get some good news - well here it is!
You will recall that a local community group Cliftonville & Coatdyke Community Group, with the full backing of the club directors, was set up to purchase the building and car park from North Lanarkshire Council. After nearly two years of hard work they have finally succeeded.
The Scottish Land Fund on behalf of the National Lottery Community fund have granted the group £190,690.
This wonderful grant will cover the cost of purchasing the building and car park, Lawyers fees, new disabled facilities,
some immediate repairs and the creation of a part-time Development Officer post for 1 year.
This is great news for Coatbridge Indoor Bowling Club going forward into our 50th anniversary year.
The club now becomes the 'anchor tenant' with a long term lease guaranteed and it secures the club's future in the long term. We can look forward to working with the new community group to tackle the many projects to upgrade the facilities.
The building will now be available to all local residents and it is the group's intention to provide some much needed social events for members.
If you would like any further information on the club feel free to contact us by email or telephone.

The security systems, alarms, and CCTV are fully functioning and are remotely monitored 24 hours.
We have upgraded the security on all entry points and removed all cash etc from the building.
We are taking action to reduce our costs and exploring possible grant opportunities to protect the financial position.

We have set up a section for members who may wish to leave a message or comment. Feel free to make use of the facility (message us using the box at the bottom of the page) and keep in touch.
