Update on building purchase

We are happy to announce that the Cliftonville & Coatbridge Community Group has been successful
in purchasing the Bowling Stadium Building.

Alex Forrest who led the group, explained that this has been made possible through grant funding from the National Lottery Community Fund, without whose support it would not have succeeded.  Thanks are also due to North Lanarkshire Council for their tremendous support and also for the backing of The Community Ownership Support Service (COSS) without whose expertise assistance and support the outcome may have been very different

Great benefits for Bowlers and the wider community

This is wonderful news not only for local people and bowlers, but for the many residents throughout Airdrie, Coatbridge and beyond who make use of the facility.

The way forward

If you registered for membership of the Community Group you will receive notification of an 'all members' meeting
later in the year when a committee will be elected and the vision will be set out to take the group forward.

The present transition committee will begin the task of making ready for the return to full opening of the building.
The committe will promulgate the updated position and their future plans moving forward.

Bowling Club Members

To all you bowlers out there, we will be starting our regular winter leagues in September,

so please make the effort to return and bring along a friend.

We expect our other activities to start when the restrictions are lifted.

Slimming world will be back by the end of the month, and

the dance classes and drama group will start shortly.
